Changes Proposed to NFCCA Bylaws

One of projects the NFCCA Board has worked on is pulling together the known pieces of the civic association’s Bylaws.  We will have a vote on acceptance of the revised Bylaws at the 11 October general meeting.

There’s a link to the Bylaws on the home page of our website [see Proposed Changes to Bylaws] showing both the original version and the original with the proposed changes.  A lot of the revisions have to do with format, spelling, and grammar, as well as having in writing a number of practices that we have been doing for a long time.

Some things to note:

• The description of the boundaries of the neighborhoods that are part of the Northwood-Four Corners Civic Association will now match what is written on our website.
• One membership is per household rather than each person in a home.
• Duties of executive officers and Board members are laid out.
• When general and Board meetings are to occur is now included.
• The procedure to amend Bylaws also has been added.

Please peruse the changes recommended by the Board before the 11 October meeting, where we will vote on the proposed alternations.  This is your civic association; you have a say in how it is run.   ■
