A Question for Our Dog Owners

Why do people think it’s okay to have their dogs off leash on the Northwest Branch trail?

Even if they’re friendly, why do people think it’s okay to make others guess?

My dog and I have been lunged at by two off-leash dogs on the trail twice in two days in March.

Even when there aren’t incidents, there are still so many dogs untethered, almost every day.  I’m so tired of it.

Leash laws are for your safety, your dog’s safety, and the safety of everyone around you.

It’s not your personal nature preserve.  It’s not your yard.  It’s our neighborhood.

Be a better neighbor.  Keep your dogs on a leash.
