Walkway Cleanup 16 December

Seven people (and one dog) cleared the area between Hannes St. and University Blvd., as well as the walkway between Whittington Terrace and the Luther Rice Church parking lot.  Thanks to Melissa Ferguson (Hannes St.) who came up with the idea and arranged the clean-up date.

“It was fun!  And the weather was great for picking up trash and recycle items,” said Julie Whitcomb (Chiswell Lane).

“I also collected a lot more as I walked home down Edgewood,” said Karen Jackler (Edgewood Avenue).  “It was a good effort by all and it was nice to neighbors on a beautiful December day.”

“A team effort!” said Diane Janesko (Eastwood Avenue).  “I also collected a half a bag of trash along Lockridge on one side of the creek.”
