Packed April Delegate Forum Introduces Candidates

Attendees had to get past a horde of aides passing out campaign literature for candidates for other races.

Although all 11 candidates for District 19 Delegate agreed to attend our forum on April 11th, two were no-shows. The event was held at Forest Knolls Elementary School during our regular membership meeting on Wednesday, April 11. Here are a few photographs from the well-attended event.

The Delegates Forum took the form of “speed dating.” Rather than have candidates take turns addressing the assembled group, nine clusters of chairs were set up. The attendees from the neighborhood stayed in their seats, while the candidates moved from group to group. Each group met with a candidate for about 10 minutes, often asking the same questions of each. ■
