New Board to Be Elected at Meeting

The first order of business at the October 12 meeting will be the election of the 2005-2006 NFCCA Board of Directors.  The current Board is listed in the box to the right on page 3.

President Carole Barth, Vice President Michele Frome, Treasurer Margaret Hawkins, Secretary Beth Ginter, and At-Large Members John Hill and Ann Rose are willing to serve again during the next term.

However, Margaret Hawkins and Michele Frome have decided to switch positions, with Hawkins as Vice President and Frome taking over as Treasurer.

At-Large Member Nick Scalera will not be returning to the board, but will continue doing the neighborhood crime listserv.

Roxanne Mirabal Beltran has been nominated to fill the remaining At-Large Member position.  Of course, anyone wishing to run or nominate a candidate for any position may do so, in which case ballots will be cast at the meeting.  Candidates are asked to make themselves known to Paul Boudreaux [contact details redacted], who has been asked by our current president to take the lead on nominations.

Nominations also may be made from the floor during the meeting.  Anyone who is a resident of the NFCCA territory may run for office.  The term lasts one year and is strictly voluntary.   ■
