I spoke with Jon Rhodes, the property manager at Finmarc Management for the Burnt Mills Shopping Center, on 24 March. He was very pleased with the progress made. “It’s really starting to look like a shopping center, isn’t it?” he said.
“Starbucks could open April 2,” Rhodes continued, but “it’s up to them.” The Starbucks sign is already up and an ad for the new store appeared in the 23 March Gazette, although the ad only stated it was “opening soon,” with no date.
“We’re looking at May 20 for Trader Joe’s,” he said. “Pretty much everybody else is about that time or early June.”
All tenants are not finalized, added Rhodes, but all the remaining space is under negotiation. He would not reveal the names of any other potential tenants. ■
