Local Annual Solar Homes Tour Held This Month

The Potomac Region Solar Energy Association (PRSEA) Chapter of the American Solar Energy Association (ASES), working with other local environmental groups, will host the Washington, D.C. area’s 11th annual Tour of Solar Homes on Saturday, 13 October 2001.  The tour lasts from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  The homeowners themselves give the tours, describing the relevant energy features and answering questions about their solar electric (photovoltaic) and solar water heating systems.

Although the tour is open to the public, admission to the tour is by presentation of an official Map Book which also serves as one’s “ticket.”
