President’s Message

By Brian Morrissey

Hello, Neighbors.

It’s that time of year again.  New Year’s Resolutions are made; sometimes kept, sometimes broken.  These Resolutions are almost always aimed at improving ourselves.  Health, wealth, wisdom are often the goals we wish to achieve as we select our resolutions.  I, humbly, offer another possible choice:  “This year I will be a better neighbor.“

If you haven’t already, get to know your immediate neighbors.  What are their names?  What are their professions?  How many kids do they have?  What are their kids’ names and ages?  As you get to know them, you will better be able to give or receive the help that good neighbors so willingly provide, i.e., watching your property while you’re away, picking up mail, watering plants, tending pets.  These are all simple acts that provide strength, security, and camaraderie to our homes, our streets, and our community.   ■
