Northwood News ♦ December 2006
About a dozen folks turned out to help with our fall creek cleanup/invasive plant removal held in November. The volume of trash was not very high this year, but we generated five large piles of invasive clippings. Fortunately, we were sucessful in getting the brush picked up by DPW&T this year.
Unusual trash items found included the weights from a pair of barbells, a car muffler, a rug, a barbecue grill, and a broken Hanukkah snow globe.
Special thanks to Reuven Walder for taking care of the setup and to Brian Morrissey for the use of his van. If you missed the cleanup, don’t worry. We will do another creek cleanup around Earth Day next April. ■
